To me, these figures represent the security of knowing they are loved and not dependent on love, of having a peaceful soul and not being disturbed by the surroundings. Representing them is a challenge for me, finding simplicity in form and volume, like giant immovable stones, 'The Gorditas' are strength and tranquility.'
