Return Policy

HerStory has a 15-day return policy after receiving your item. Provided the products are in new condition, without any sign of wear, wash, damage (except manufacturing defect that may be the cause of return), modifications or tampering and must come in the original packaging with labels still attached. Any purchases made online must be returned by mail and cannot be returned in-store. Any purchases made at a pop-up event are final sale.

Please note, HerStory works with brands and artisans around the world and some brands have a different return policy than us, which will be noted on their product page. Any made to order, customized/embroidered, gift cards, beauty, sale purchases are final sale and nonrefundable.

If your return is accepted, you will be charged a $20 restocking fee, as well as instructions with a return label on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You have 15 days from receiving the return label to mail your item before the return is no longer valid.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. This damage report must be within the 15 day day of receipt.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We will not accept exchanges for the following: made to order, customized/embroidered, gift cards, sale, beauty.

In order to not be charged a restocking fee of $20, you must purchase your exchanged item within 48 hours of sending in your return. 

Cancelations

Cancelations will be accepted on orders that have not shipped within a 24-hour window except for made-to-order or pre-order. Made-to-order and pre-order products can only be canceled if production has not started and you will be charged a $20 restocking fee.

Refund Process

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 20 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
