A young woman sits in her home in South Texas. She wears a pair of sturdy, dark brown leather boots paired with a flowing skirt on her feet. Her son plays on the floor beside her, and she looks over at him for a moment before getting back to work on her brand. Alma Caso was raised in Mexico by her first-generation Mexican-American family. Born in Texas yet raised in Mexico, Caso’s dream had always been to create leather accessories. The leather used in Mexico goes deeper than just fashion; it carries an air of history. Caso fell in love with leather in the form of accessories and shoes and has now created her brand to create just this: Alma Caso.
Introducing timeless collectibles by Alma Caso, the newest addition to the Support Her Story Family. Explore high-quality leather pieces such as the Catalina Mule and Isabel handbag, both elegant staples to make an appearance in your closet. Alma Caso strives to create products women are proud to invest in long-term and showcase the talent of Mexico in producing impeccable leather goods.
Alma Caso recounts her story of creating her brand, which stemmed from a desire to celebrate her Hispanic heritage. Caso, a long-time lover of leather products, wanted to create something with a special meaning to her culture that would not only celebrate the talent of her country of origin but bring awareness to this developing market for Mexico.
“I’ve always loved leather accessories but found that traditionally, high-quality products usually come from certain European countries,” Caso said. “I knew that we could produce the same quality in Mexico, so I dived into this project and found incredible partners who exceeded our expectations.”
With this goal in mind, Caso delved into the business world, straying away from the fast-fashion mindset and instead dedicating herself to finding artisans who have mastered the skill of creating leather goods with the utmost quality for her company. Thus, pieces from Alma Caso feature classic silhouettes, made to be worn for years, and style with elements already found in your wardrobe, while supporting the two countries of Mexico and the United States.
“My hope is that you will cherish and enjoy these pieces of art handmade by craftsmen who take incredible pride in their work,” said Caso.
