Our Onca cardigan is crafted by one of our partner workshops in Comas, Lima, where it is knitted with great attention to detail and care. This exclusive pattern is inspired by one of the most symbolic animal species in the Peruvian jungle, the Panthera onca, commonly known as the Otorongo by Peruvians and the largest feline on the continent. It comes to life through our intricate jacquard weaving technique.
This is a pre-order item. This piece takes between 25 and 30 business days to be made and delivered.
Please dry clean at all items. Do not use any washing or drying machines, it could result in shrinking.

The word Muna comes from the Andean principle Munay, which means love with a purpose. For us, this is translated as walking in the same direction even if we are different in body and mind.
After studying a bachelor in business and working in a reputed transnational company, Isabella Elias (Founder) decided to change her course by leaving the corporate world and exploring Peru. During this journey, she discovered the wealth of local materials and cultural traditions of her country, which inspired her to embrace the art of weaving.

Muna was born in 2020 with the purpose of celebrating and reinterpreting Peruvian heritage by creating conversational pieces generating dialogue around Peruvian cultural wealth.
Our designs are steeped in history, culture, and tradition. Each collection tells a unique story, drawing inspiration from emblematic places across Peru such as Machu Picchu, Moray, and Qenqo. We also celebrate the diverse cultures that have flourished throughout generations, including the Chimu and Paracas
