Handcrafted from genuine, full grain leather with a removable, adjustable strap that can be worn as a clutch, crossbody or simply carried comfortably over the shoulder. The roomy interior has ample space for your phone, keys, headphones and more and is lined with handcrafted, block-printed cotton.
And so JOYN was created, a place where people could find beauty in the art of handmade goods and where makers could come together and find work, creating something new, from scratch and by hand.
Mel, Dave, and the boys landed in India and set up home in a tiny town at the base of the Himalayas, called Rajpur. Mel began working with artisan groups and local women in Rajpur, many of whom had come out of abuse and trafficking. Her passion was to help people find their creativity, and to create jobs for people who otherwise wouldn't be able to find employment.
