Banniere
Boston Scarf by Banniere
Original artwork by Willa Heart by Banniere
Alyssa Jill Harris, the artist and designer behind Willa Heart, was born and raised in Boston. She currently lives with her muse, a pit bull named Viper Sashay, and her husband. Staying true to her genre, the Boston scarf design uses animals to create an elegantly simple composition, reflective of the Swan Boats in Boston Common. The rich local culture continually inspires Aly. Some of her favorite activities in Boston include High Tea at the Boston Public Library and visiting museums such as the Isabella Stewart Gardner and the Harvard's Fogg Museum. Like any true Bostonian, she also has a penchant for games at Fenway, and weekend getaways to Cape Cod and Nantucket. When not painting animals, Aly can be found doodling in her sketchbook or discussing celebrity gossip with her pit bull.

I decided to start Banniere after traveling the world and falling in love with the unique and varying styles and cultures in different towns and cities. I had a background working in Fashion for other companies such as Stubbs and Wootton and wanted to start something on my own that combined my love of travel, art and fashion. Through Banniere, I was able to work with these local artists and come up with designs that emanate these different cultures and turn them into wearable art: a silk scarf.
