Her Story

My love for design began at an early age. In 2002, after being introduced to the art of jewelry-making at the age of nine, I dove into the design world. Within six months of creating my first piece from my grandmother’s repurposed jewelry, I launched Hazen. For years, I honed my skills on a bead-swathed bedroom floor, creating nearly all of the collections entirely by hand. Upon graduating from SMU in Dallas in 2014, Hazen began to blossom into what it is today. Our small but mighty Hazen team and The Hazen & Co. Flagship Store are located in Dallas, and we remain committed to skillfully handcrafting each piece in Texas using semi-precious materials. I consider it a joy and privilege to have the opportunity to source our unique materials and design new styles for our customers scattered around the world.

Summer Internship

HerStory is seeking interns for our summer program. Individual must be analytical, fashion forward, creative, and detail-oriented.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and tells them about HerStory’s brand and mission
  • Merchandises inventory at the HerStory Gallery based on sales, seasonality, analytics, and trends
  • Interacts with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries about products and purchases
  • Operates Shopify POS system and handles payments and credit card processing
  • Assists with managing inventory reports and stock levels at the HerStory Gallery
  • Maintains an organized backroom that meets HerStory’s set standards 
  • Assists with Gallery operations such as cleanliness, shipments, and returns
  • Assist with Gallery events and pop-ups
  • Audits the website for bugs and improvements
  • Tags new products on the website for SEO 
  • Tracks order fulfillment and returns
  • Manages content on the website
  • Assist with marketing efforts such as social media, content, and graphic design.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in fashion or retail industry

This role is part-time based out of our Gallery in Dallas and Fort Worth, TX.
