Her Story

It's my belief that we all have the right to become the most genuine and contented version of who we were created to be. As a single mom of two young boys, I have experienced first hand how powerful counseling can be in helping someone manage the ups and downs of life and I adore every minute of bringing that experience to my clients. I started Laurier Counseling in order to empower women to access a deeper understanding of their own life story as well as develop and enhance coping skills to help them persevere in a healthy way through whatever life may bring.

I have worked in the field of counseling for over 10 years with experience in nonprofit, for profit and school settings, including 6 years of work and training at the Momentous Institute here in Dallas. I decided to start my own practice after becoming a single mother of two boys three and five. I chose the name Laurier for my new business to point towards the Laurel wreath used to crown victors in Ancient Greek and Roman times. With hard work and perseverance we can all access victory over our greatest struggles, fears and hardships.
