While Davros serves as an inspiration to many women with her fashion-forward tips and healthy lifestyle, Davros’s mother, is her biggest admiration and the woman who inspired and continues to inspire Davros. Sue Wade, Davros’s mother, founded Wade college in Dallas, Texas in 1962. Her interest for fashion was sparked at a young age of 15-years-old when she was working for a department store while also attending high school. Wade not only began modeling for the store, but also became a buyer for the store and was responsible for choosing products that were sold in the store.
When Wade was 20, she became a model for Neiman Marcus and started a modeling school to help other young models start their careers. In the year 1962, Wade founded Miss Wade’s Fashion Merchandising College which would later be known as Wade College. Not once did Wade have to loan or borrow money. She served as inspiration to women especially her daughter’s love for fashion through her eagerness to spread her knowledge and passion. Wade College has expanded its degree programs over the years to graphic design, interior design, fashion design, and merchandising and marketing management. Not only has Wade come so far in building a community where women can learn from other women, but she has been accredited for her accomplishments in both the fashion and education industries with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Fashion Group International.
