Michelle Maslanka is the owner and creative director of Sister Swim. Originally from South Jersey, she moved to NYC after high school to study fashion at LIM College and never left. With experience at fashion houses like Alexander McQueen, Celine, Nili Lotan, and Veronica Beard, she launched Sister Swim in 2017, inspired by making bikinis for her sister and friends. Now, the brand is in top stores and worn by influencers and celebs. A travel lover, Michelle frequents destinations like St. Tropez, St. Barths, Italy, Cabo, and Mallorca, while summers are spent in the Hamptons and the Jersey Shore. Her personal style is effortless—think wide-leg jeans, oversized blazers, and timeless slip dresses, always tailored to perfection.
