HerStory

Born and raised in Denmark, I have always been captivated by the beauty of nature and enchanted bythe cosmos. My journey to jewelry began with a deep reverence for spirituality and the natural world, couple with a love of creating. Originally trained as a nurse, I have always found solace in creative pursuits. What began with knitting and crocheting eventually evolved into jewelry design, which has become my true passion. I think it's about the possibilities of jewelry, as well as the materials and the delicate handwork; you can express yourself in an incredible number of ways, and most importantly, jewelry just means something to you. What started as a passion project, something I would do for loved ones in my spare time, quickly grew to something bigger after a successful debut at Roskilde Festival. My husband and I decided to take a leap of faith, opening our first store on the ground floor of our apartment in Frederiksberg and we have not looked back. Today, we have stores across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland and our company continues to grow. From these humble beginnings, Maanesten was born, transforming my kitchen table creations into an international brand that celebrates the spirituality, originality, and everyday magic that inspires us all.

The Origin

Maanesten’s universe is inspired by spirituality, originality, nature, distant galaxies, and dreams.
