Banniere
Savannah by Banniere
Original artwork by Paige Smith Spearin by Banniere
Paige is an artist that specializes in creating illustrations, murals, paintings, and textile designs. She has designed prints for Lily Pulitzer for over 11 years. In 2018 Paige decided to branch off on her own, starting Ekelund Studio where she combines her passions for painting and textiles. Paige first fell in love with Savannah while attending the Savannah College of Art and Design. Savannah has a unique mix of historic southern charm, a thriving art scene and a love for haunted and eerie stories. In the Savannah design, Paige captures the original squares designed by Oglethorpe that makes up Savannah history, surrounded by the mossy greens of the trees and the bright pink azaleas that blossom in the spring.

I decided to start Banniere after traveling the world and falling in love with the unique and varying styles and cultures in different towns and cities. I had a background working in Fashion for other companies such as Stubbs and Wootton and wanted to start something on my own that combined my love of travel, art and fashion. Through Banniere, I was able to work with these local artists and come up with designs that emanate these different cultures and turn them into wearable art: a silk scarf.

Banniere works with local artists in cities around the world on designs for silk scarves. Each scarf is specially crafted and packaged with a story about the artist’s connection to the city, art background and inspiration behind the design.
