Banniere
Cascais, Portugal by Banniere
Original artwork by Isabelle Vandeplassche by Banniere
Isabelle Vandeplassche lives by the sea just north of Cascais, Portugal. Her paintings are made to awaken the mind and are derived from the infinite colors found in nature. She is most drawn to watercolors because they give more freedom to her artistic creativity. In this scarf, she captures the deep green magic of Cascais and the transcendent beauty of this town on the Atlantic coast. When Isabelle is not creating new artwork in her studio, she is probably surfing the pretty waves of Portugal.

I decided to start Banniere after traveling the world and falling in love with the unique and varying styles and cultures in different towns and cities. I had a background working in Fashion for other companies such as Stubbs and Wootton and wanted to start something on my own that combined my love of travel, art and fashion. Through Banniere, I was able to work with these local artists and come up with designs that emanate these different cultures and turn them into wearable art: a silk scarf.
