Nestled on the coast is the small town of CANNON BEACH offering sweeping views of its long sandy shore, sea caves, and deep coves with rocks perfectly positioned for tufted puffins to enjoy. Paperlike bark and thin-leaved birch trees line the woods of the Pacific Northwest where this charming coastal village sits. This oasis is captured through wooded notes of birch, pine, and cypress, complimented with cool touches of eucalyptus and mint that are instantly warmed with hints of smoke and tonka bean.

Malibu Apothecary creates clean fragrances inspired by a love of travel. Based on the science that scent is the strongest trigger of memory, Malibu Apothecary captures the spirit of beach destinations through transportive fragrances. These coastal candles take the names and notes of exotic locales as well as by working with local communities like the Cayman Islands Board of Tourism, to transport you through candlelight to a beach far away.
Malibu Apothecary started as a love for travel, wellness, and evocative fragrance. This passion led founder, Claire Ellis, around the globe; from vacations in the Caribbean, months in the Côte d'Azur, to a solo trip around Asia. With a mantra and belief that no beach should be left unexplored, Claire aimed to capture the spirit of these exotic locales through fragrance. She used her knowledge of scent from perfumery school in Grasse and started hand-pouring candles as a hobby in her SoCal apartment. It was then that Claire discovered the toxicity and unethical standards that exist in today’s candle industry. Ultimately, graduating from wax-coated floors and a lost rent deposit, Malibu Apothecary today is a reflection of a passion for clean, non-toxic living and a thirst for the undiscovered that inspires her travels and creations.
