Aspen by Banniere
Original artwork by Alexandra Williams by Banniere
Growing up with a love of the Colorado mountains, watercolor artist Alexandra Williams has had a love of Aspen from a young age. She remembers family ski trips as the highlight of the year. When it came time to choose a college, Alexandra headed west to the University of Colorado, Go Buffaloes! There she had access to many of the worlds best ski resorts while allowing her to study fine art and develop her own unique talent. She found her calling as a calligrapher and watercolor artist, working with brands like Stubbs and Wootton and The Scout Guide. This design is a tribute to her favorite place, showcasing the picturesque beauty of the Rockies, the chic slope style of the skiers, and of course, the aprés ski Aspen is famous for. On winter afternoons, you can find her having a glass of Champagne at Cloud Nine and taking the run down 'Apple Strudel.'

I decided to start Banniere after traveling the world and falling in love with the unique and varying styles and cultures in different towns and cities. I had a background working in Fashion for other companies such as Stubbs and Wootton and wanted to start something on my own that combined my love of travel, art and fashion. Through Banniere, I was able to work with these local artists and come up with designs that emanate these different cultures and turn them into wearable art: a silk scarf.
