Designed and handmade by a mother-daughter team in Kyrgyzstan, our felted wool pieces by Larkin Lane are nothing less than ART to WEAR. Using felted wool and hand-woven silk, each piece is inspired by Kyrgyzstan's natural beauty. The texture is soft, lightweight and luxurious- they feel as beautiful as they look!! This style in particular has a fun and feminine shape.

The artists begin with 100% pure Merino wool, which has been a part of the Kyrgyzstan culture for centuries. Laying the felted wool out on a flat surface, the artists cut traditional graphic designs into the textile. They then layer handwoven silk over the wool and apply a soap and water solution, fusing the two materials together. With this last step, the artists say 'love happens between the two materials'.
