La Fierté Beaded Clutch from Haiti - Rainbow by Larkin Lane
Clutch from Haiti by Larkin Lane! Carrying on the enduring tradition of beaded artwork in Haiti, our hand-beaded purses have their roots in Haitian Vodun flags. These flags or banners typically reflect the personality and likes of a particular spirit. We named this clutch La Fierté, which is the French word for PRIDE.
*During the month of June, 15% of all sales of this clutch and all Haitian beaded clutches will be donated to The Trevor Project.
The beautiful designs on each flag are individually hand-sewn with thousands of sequins and beads! While these banners are often hung on a wall or made into a pillow, we think they make the perfect evening purse!
Each year, Lark traveled to Haiti with her mother, a folk-art dealer, and fell in love with the Haitian people. “They are in my heart! They have taught me to find beauty in the simplest of things. And even in the most dire of situations to have faith and to find beauty… or create it!” -Lark Champion
