Three of my life’s passions are fashion food and fun. When all three come together that’s when the magic happens. As a child I vividly recall my mother cutting dotted metallic tulle on the living room floor for a ball gown she was making for herself while something savory was roasting away in the kitchen. Our home was filled with mouthwatering meals and neighborhood friends who often joined us for a night of delicious fun. Joy and creativity filled my childhood and have fueled my love of design and entertaining ever since. My mother also instilled in me an almost fanatical appreciation for luxurious textiles always returning from trips with the most incredible pieces. This passion has stayed with me throughout my career from my early days as a designer and fabric developer for Richard Tyler to my own collection where we partner with our mills to design our own textiles. For over twenty years I’ve designed fashion for women’s most treasured and memorable life events. From the stunning bride to the consummate hostess with her “how does she do it flair?” to the many incredible women who know how to make an entrance at a black tie gala. But I know that life’s great moments big and small happen every day and everywhere. So I am delighted to share my latest collection Pearl by Lela Rose.

With Pearl by Lela Rose I hope to inspire women to make every day something to celebrate. The collection is fun playful and colorful with high quality fabrics and whimsical details that lend excitement to how you dress and call for an occasion. In fact my favorite motto is “nothing says chic like matching your drink to your dress or your dress to your table!" so the designs are accompanied with creative tips and bespoke accessories for easy entertaining.

The Origin

At Pearl by Lela Rose, we make ready-to-wear clothes for women like us: fun, fabulous, & effortlessly stylish. Created by beloved designer Lela Rose and sold on our direct-to-consumer website as well as by a network of 100+ independent Pearl Stylists, our pieces work hard, play harder, and look (and feel) great. From brunch to business, weekends to wanderlust, and carpool to cocktails, we believe that EVERY day is an occasion, so dress accordingly.

Our network of stylists is 100% female and our corporate team, based in the heart of the Garment District in New York City, is nearly all ladies (but we love our men too)! We are a family owned and operated company since 2018 and share offices with our sister brands, Lela Rose and Lela Rose Bridal.

We are small but we are mighty - with our clothes, but also our business, we strive to empower women to live, dress, and be on their own terms. Because, even more than a great outfit, we believe that confidence is the best look out there.  

We are thoughtful about our design and production process and look to reduce our environmental impact wherever we can.  We manufacture locally -  literally steps from our office in NYC, reducing freight and supporting local factories that prioritize the health and well-being of their workforce. We cut to order, eliminating excess inventory (the opposite of fast fashion) and we donate our fabric scraps to non-profits. 

Our clothes are quality products that are designed to last - capable of surviving even the most raucous outdoor fête.  Becoming more sustainable is a priority for our team - and it is our commitment to you, and to each other, that we will strive to do our best wherever and whenever we can.
