Her Story

I started making jewelry out of my apartment while attending Parsons School of Design in New York. After interning for some of the top fashion brands in NYC and learning the ins-and-outs of operating a business by working under a small jewelry designer, I took the leap and moved back to Houston to start Christina Greene. Turquoise is my favorite stone but, since it is often set in silver, I decided to pair the natural stone with gold, which is something that I had never seen. Shortly after launching Christina Greene, I was wearing one of my designs when a woman approached me at an event and asked to buy the necklace off my neck. At that moment, I knew I was creating something worth sharing and that I could turn my design sketches into a reality. I believe that jewelry should elevate an outfit and be so eye-catching that it’s worth talking about. I like to create high-quality, classic designs with modern elements to create chic jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Since I started the company 9 years ago, I’ve added 18 new collections, created partnerships with some of my favorite national and international retailers, and have received tremendous support from our customers and the media. I truly love both what I do and seeing our friends and customers wearing their Christina Greene jewels in everyday life!

Brand Story

Christina Greene is the leading brand in upscale jewelry trends that highlights the beauty and luxury of natural stones from all over the world. The company was founded in 2011 by Houston-based designer Christina Greene McAllen, a graduate of Texas Christian University and Parsons School of Design in New York. The designer began hand-making her own jewelry by pairing semi-precious stones such as turquoise, amethyst, citrine and coral with gold plated chains purchased from local jewelry supply shows. What started out as sketchpad drawings has become a successful company, retailing in over 90 boutiques worldwide, including Anthropologie Europe and Dillard’s, with recent features in numerous outlets including NBC’s Today Show, British Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily, Modern Luxury, Houston Chronicle and Texas Monthly, among others.
