Kristen Bear - Founder of Kilo Brava
Kristin Bear has been in the intimates and sleepwear industry for about 15 years. After graduating from FIT in NYC, she worked for large intimate apparel companies in the city before relocating down to Miami to work for Cosabella, working her way up to Head of Design where she worked for many years.
After having her first baby, she returned to work and shortly after decided to leave to start her own company- KILO BRAVA. She felt the intimates industry was missing designer styles at attainable pricing and more inclusive sizing. She sourced her own factories, designed every item, handled all the production, ran the creative etc! While she decided to take the leap out on her own from her stable job, she learned that she was pregnant with their second baby.
While she built up and developed the KB brand, she was pregnant the whole way and launched about 2 days after coming home with their newborn baby girl. Since then, the brand has relocated to the Denver, CO area. The brand has grown and is being carried at countless boutiques throughout the USA & Canada.
In addition, the brand is carried at Nordstrom, Free People, Playful Promises and more. KILO BRAVA also specializes in private label and collaborations as well. Most recently, KB has moved into a commercial space, and Kristin is now pregnant with her 3rd baby!
